The shipwright's guild, responsible for building and maintaining the ships which carry goods upriver and out to sea, has a more prominant presence in Laegaria than many of the duchies. With its important ports and river access, Laegaria needs fleets for both military and trade purposes. While the shipwrights are builders, not professional sailors, many of them do go to sea.
